NORTHFIELD BATHS

Located at Northfield on the Bristol Road South, the baths were the first to be built solely for the purpose of recreation, by this time all houses in the area had its own bathroom and washing facilities. The baths opened on 8th May 1937 and consisted of two swimming pools the main one 100ft. X 35ft., together with a learners’ pool 21ft. 6in. X 33ft.; the main baths varies in depth from 3ft. 3in. to 10ft. 2in. at the deep end.
